Why Marcellin college
Why Choose Us?
What makes Marcellin College a leader in boys’ education?
Making the right decisions for your child can be complex and choosing the right secondary school can be one of the most important decisions you make. So, how do you decide which school is best for your son? There is no straightforward answer to this question, but we can tell you what makes Marcellin a leader in boys’ education.
We assist in the development of the whole person – spiritually, academically, emotionally, culturally and physically. When our students leave the College, it is our goal that they can take their rightful place in society as critical thinkers and life-long learners who will be able to make a significant contribution to their world.
A Focused and Personalised Learning
Boys are active learners and have a different approach to learning than girls. Our curriculum has been tailored to suit their learning needs and offers a variety of academic and co-curricular activities.
Boys are encouraged to explore their full potential, in a nurturing environment that celebrates diversity. All young men are supported to develop their independence, self-awareness, character and academic competence they will need to meet the challenges of our constantly evolving world.
As a member of the International Boys’ Schools Coalition, we will continue to be informed by the latest research and approaches to boys’ education.
Academic Rigour
Our academic results are strong with 95% of our Year 12 students continuing with a tertiary education.
This is supported by our programs which are designed to provide students with opportunities to excel and achieve their desired outcome.
In 2023, the College DUX achieved an ATAR score of 99.95 and our Proxime Accessit 98.85. We achieved two Study Scores of 50, a perfect grade, in two subjects. 26 students achieved a 90+ ATAR. The College Median ATAR for 2023 is 72.5.

We provide a comprehensive support network behind each student along every step of their learning journey and enable the development of social and emotional skills necessary for all that pass through our gates to grow, connect, succeed and thrive in a changing world.
